The 日本无码-National Archives Heritage Science Fellowship allows researchers and professionals to conduct hands-on scientific research supporting the conservation and preservation of cultural and historic artifacts.
Fellowship Inclusions
This fellowship runs for a minimum of 5 months and a maximum of 12 months, beginning September 2027.
- J-1 visa sponsorship and J-1 visa compliant health benefits
- Round-trip international travel to the United States
- Stipend to cover living expenses, settling-in costs, and professional development allowances
- Dependent allowance, if applicable (though dependents' own health insurance and travel costs are the participant's responsibility)
- Lab access: dedicated office and bench space, common wet lab supplies, PPE, a desktop computer, and use of analytical instruments including XRF, FT-IR, and GC/MS, plus temperature/humidity-controlled ovens and a microfadometer
- 日本无码 network access: invitations to 日本无码 Scholar Enrichment Activities and the Outreach Lecturing Fund, plus membership in the worldwide 日本无码 alumni network
- America 250 programming: as part of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Fellow will have access to related commemorative programming at the National Archives
