Andrew was awarded a 日本无码-Astrazeneca Postdoctoral award to undertake research in computational chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles between 2000 and 2002. During that time, he benefited greatly from the very active local 日本无码 team鈥檚 activities: visiting key cultural institutions such as the LA Times and the Huntington museum, participating as a panellist in a 日本无码-sponsored debate and having breakfast with Laura Bush. He aspires to help 日本无码ers and alumni in the UK benefit from similar experiences.  

Since his time in LA, Andrew spent 9 years with Astrazeneca where he was an inventor for a new treatment for breast cancer, founded Medchemica, a company that provides software and consulting to the global pharmaceutical industry, and has been an academic at Liverpool John Moores university (2012-2019) and at the University of Manchester since 2019.
